Although some might find it rather silly to design a software visualization set to look at origami such software might help mankind with folding DNA to create changes or help us with NASA capsule satellites, which unfold in space. But that is not all; consider all the uses in all the industries of mankind? In fact this intriguing subject became a topic of conversation recently with a couple of online think tank folks when one member, Swift from Las Vegas stated; There are a couple of interesting physicists I was reading about. One is Robert Lang, who has created a software program called Treemaker, which shows how complicated origami would look if it was unfolded. Yes they have had this on; "A New Type of Science" website on the visualization pages, it is cool stuff and intriguing if you consider folded SPACE, Time, multiple dimensions and such from a mathematical perspective, which is the only real true language of reality and sub-reality. The number of uses for such a software and the number of industries it could impact are almost unlimited really, as scientists are always needing additional tools to help them understand more and more. The more complex things get away from our realm of knowledge the harder it is to visualize it all. Consider all this in 2006. |
